The agile movement does seem to have crossed some kind of chasm over the past couple of years. With agile development jobs plastered everywhere, the government creating its own agile bright spot and even the financial sector filled with reported agile success stories one could superficially think that the transitional job was done. However the truth is always more nuanced, the Gantt chart is alive and kicking and many agile delivery teams still operate inside a budgeted project envelope.
