What Does Agile Actually Mean For Developers
Most agile transformations focus on the things that happen around development, but skip over what being agile means for a developer day to day. What working practices should they adopt and what changes to their mindset do they need to make in order to be succesful?

Introducing the Deliberately Adaptive Organisation
The Deliberately Adaptive Organisation is the model at the heart of Mike's new book 'Wholehearted', a fresh, complexity-aware, and ground-up reconstruction of Stafford Beer’s Viable System Model. The diagnostic power of this classic organisational model remains unrivalled, and to it we bring a truly 21st-century approach. We work with rather than against the grain of two key realities: that everyone's experience of the organisation is different, and that they see different possibilities emerging for it. Two things are at stake here: how you think about organisations, and how you engage with their challenges.

Mike works at the intersection of Lean-Agile, strategy, and organisation development in the pursuit of the ‘wholehearted’ organisation. He is the author of Wholehearted: Engaging with Complexity in the Deliberately Adaptive Organisation (2025), Agendashift: Outcome-oriented change and continuous transformation (2nd edition 2021), Right to Left: the digital leader’s guide to Lean and Agile (2019, audiobook 2020), and the classic Kanban from the Inside (2014). He is recognised for his pioneering work in Lean, Agile, and Kanban and in recent years his advocacy for participatory and outcome-oriented approaches to change, transformation, and strategy.
